We cannot substitute our primary means of drawing by using drawing books. Using pencil on paper is important because it helps in building ones drawing skills. Nevertheless, the place of drawing books cannot be neglected because it has great advantage in helping children in different means while building them on the different techniques. The drawing book as our normal books are regarded as something valuable and giving your kid a sketch pen could be worthwhile. Nevertheless, there has been numerous debate regarding the issue of how relevant drawing back is in terms of changing the attitude and knowledge of the child. The importance for children, mostly those at in early age cannot be ignored. Remember, children within this age may not have the ability to verbally communicate their feelings and emotions. The only rational means of these children communicating by using drawing books. Drawing plays a significant role in terms of cognitive development of the child. It helps these children in learning the process of thinking and working on innovations. Besides this, it aids the development of conceptualized ideas, hand-eye synchronization, and improved logical skills. Because of technology, the use of drawing book is gradually losing its value as we now have digital drawing books. Today, in most schools, our primary drawing books are not easily found and used by children as a means of learning. Teaching Children how to learn how to draw Drawing is an art that can be perfected. The use of drawing books by children may be the only way for them to provide feedback and an external representation of what they may be thinking. Every drawing must undergo different phases and these phases are crucial for the cognitive development of the child. The following are important phase children must pass through as it regard drawing. Scrabbling phase (2-4 years): This phase include children from 2 to 4 years and the understanding this stage goes through a process. At this stage, they can mark whatever comes to their mind. This begins with a random scribbling, which is also referred as kinesthetic activity. Once this is done frequently, the act becomes a skilful action. Pre-schematic phase (4-7 years): In this stage, symbols and shapes are used to discover relationships and their atmosphere. Through this, their knowledge is built. Schematic phase (7-9 years) During this stage a schema is developed by the child in a consistent manner. It shows how the child perceives the environment or an object. The child in this stage exhibits his or her knowledge of things through images on the drawing books. Realistic phase (9-12 years) During the realistic phase, the child begins to focus on details and structures in the drawing books. They become sensitive of their peers and details of things in the drawing books. Pseudo-naturalistic stage (12-14 years): The pseudo-naturalistic stage the children concentrate on the product and try as much as possible to please their parents and peers. Crisis of adolescence/ artistic decision (14-17 years): This is the adolescent stage where a cognizant choice has to be made in order to continue the drawing and a visual thinking process is engaged.
