Implications of the RohingyaCrisis for Bangladesh
The Rohingyas are one of the most Persecuted Communities in the world. They have been living in the state of Arakan since the 8th Century. They have been under extreme scrutiny by the Burmese government. They haven't been recognised as citizens of The Union of Burma since Burmese independence in 1948, instead they are known as 'Non Citizensu2018. 1 Million Rohingya living in Myanmar (before the 2016u201317) The majority are Muslim while a minority are Hindu. Described by the United Nations in 2013 as one of the most persecuted minorities in the world, the Rohingya population is denied citizenship under the 1982 Myanmar Nationality Law.
