Where, and why, should Portland slag cement be used
Portland Slag Cement (PSC) is made by of Clinker, Gypsum and Granulated Blast Furnace Slag. It works synergistically with portland cement to increase strength, reduce permeability, improve resistance to chemical attack and inhibit rebar corrosion. Due to its much lower lime content and lower permeability, slag is effective in preventing efflorescence when used at appropriate levels.
