The chief executive of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) u2013 Daren Tang u2013 has recently been put up for the position of director-general of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). WIPO is one of the fifteen dedicated agencies under the United Nations and was created to encourage creative activities as well as promote the protection of Intellectual Property (IP) throughout the world.
