Scientists from the University of Minnesota recently conducted the Iowa Women's Health Study, a 19-year study involving roughly 38,000 women who were mostly in their early 60's when the study began. Over the course of this study, the participants who took supplements regularly had approximately a 2.4% increased mortality rate. These supplements included vitamin B6, folic acid, magnesium, zinc, copper, iron and multivitamins, resources commonly believed to greatly enhance your body's ability to function well.
