  10. THE SCENE Matthew 14:19-2119 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. 20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. 21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

  11. THE SCENE Matthew 14:22-2322 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. 23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

  12. THE STORM Matthew 14:24But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

  13. The storm came to the disciples because they were IN the Will of God, NOT because they were OUT of the Will of God...

  14. Jesus Knew The Storm Was Coming

  15. Jesus purposely and deliberately directed them into the storm

  16. They were betteroff in the storm, than on the shore

  17. There Are Two Kinds Of Storms We Face As Christians • Storms Of CORRECTION (Jonah Storms) DISCIPLINE Jonah 1:1-41 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

  18. There Are Two Kinds Of Storms We Face As Christians • Storms Of CORRECTION (Jonah Storms) DISCIPLINE Jonah 1:1-43 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

  19. There Are Two Kinds Of Storms We Face As Christians • Storms Of CORRECTION (Jonah Storms) DISCIPLINE Jonah 1:1-44 But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.

  20. There Are Two Kinds Of Storms We Face As Christians • Storms Of CORRECTION (Jonah Storms) DISCIPLINE • Storms Of PERFECTION (Disciple Storms) GROWTH

  21. Matthew 8:23-2723 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. 24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. 25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish

  22. Matthew 8:23-2726 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. 27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him! Jesus Was In The Boat

  23. THIS TIME... He was outof the boat

  24. He’s Growing ‘Em But It Ain’t Purty!

  25. THINK ABOUT YOUR STORM

  29. Storms Can Mess With Your Mind Though... Matthew 14:25-2625 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
