Position Description Background: We are currently seeking candidates to work in the Global Markets Back Office Technology group. The position will be in the Futures Options and OTC Clearing team implementing client-facing applications to support the growing clearing and reporting demands of our business partners and clients. Key Responsibilities • Primary role will be as a developer on Client facing systems, using Java as main development language • Providing 3rd level support function to ensure system stability and prompt follow up on user queries (Working closely with dedicated Production Support team) • To liaise with internal business users and to participate in Client meetings. • Analyzing business requirements from Front Office and Back Office teams to translate to technical deliverables. • Being able to provide technical architecture input into technical design decisions. • Keeping up to date with technical as well as industry sector developments. • Working within agile development paradigm to ensure self-testing coding and scrum methodologies are followed. Key Requirements • Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. • The ability to work in a team focused environment contributing to an open source platform utilizing an agile methodology such as scrum. Any experience with test driven development, or behavior driven development is desirable. • Liaising extensively with internal business users as well as being involved in Client meetings will require analyst skills

2. • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities with the right attitude and constantly seek opportunities to improve processes and seek efficiencies. • Good communication, written and presentation skills - also - strong team work, being organized and methodical will further enhance your credentials. Experience working directly with clients and being able to quickly understand and articulate their needs is preferred. • Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript with very good understanding of the J2EE framework • Hands-on programming experience of over 5 years developing JSPs, Servlets, and Portlets using frameworks like Struts, Hibernate, and Spring MVC etc. • Working knowledge of setting up and configuring web and application servers like Apache/Tomcat, WebLogic and JBOSS • Senior level troubleshooting, analytical and debugging skills necessary to prime brokerage services analyze issues related to Java and database queries and stored procedures • Provide production support for in-house developed software including after-hours support scheduled on a rotating basis with other developers • Knowledge of various performance optimization and design techniques for J2EE applications • Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix OS and development tools - Eclipse, Subversion • Possess strong analytical skills; the ability to assess business processes, their potential technology solutions and seek areas for improvement.
