They will be responsible for reviewing new and existing infrastructure designs and capabilities; driving fault tolerance (HA), right-sizing, industry best practices and performance tuning. • Will review application solutions, environment topologies, front-to-back business flows and drive replacement of end-of-software life components. Leads initiatives to identify architectural improvements and ensure these are implemented across the enterprise and built into programmers development principles.Heavily involved in UOBs journey to virtualization and cloud adoption / readiness. • Maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholder teams: infrastructure subject matter experts and management, application architecture, development teams,Leaprate fx,infrastructure, and information security. Expected to drive improvements through influence and strong relationships with managers in other teams, often who need to execute the changes. • Deep understanding of industry tools and their implementation • Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor. Reports directly to the Head of Development and Production Services. Job Requirements: • Deep technologic knowledge of application infrastructure design • Must have in-depth experience in architecting high-volume, fault tolerant systems • Extensive Windows, Unix,CFD Bride, RedHat, J2EE, Oracle suite (WebLogic, iPlanet, database) capabilities • Designing, building and improving architectures in complex environments with multiple platforms • Experience conducting design reviews and challenging existing thinking • Performance analysis and fine-tuning of systems • Build relationships, obtain buy-in for proposed changes • Very strong communication skills both verbal and written • Evidenced delivery of complex projects • Security concepts and what makes for a secure solution • Analyzing, documenting and validating business requirements • Capture non-functional requirements and incorporate into overall design • Ability to advice on industry standard tools for monitoring, alerting, configuration management and performance tuning • Knowledge of disaster recovery, system backup and restoration methods
