Design Model: Cycle I schoolsTo be used by students of two genders using separate classrooms but the same common spaces (Cafeteria, library, gym, etc) on segregated time table.
Design Model: Cycle I schoolsTypical site plan on ground floor and one level. Please notice the particular shape of the learning communities to the periphery, and the common spaces in the center and in close relationship with the community entrance. A kindergarten area could be attached to the girls side of the school.
Design Model: Cycle I schoolsTypical main entrance (top) and community entrance ( bottom). Please notice particular color of the kindergarten at the right of the main entrance and traditional decorative motifs on the walls.

Design Model: Cycle I schoolsTypical breakout space of learning communities (top) to which converge classrooms, art/ science labs and teacher’s stations. Library ( bottom) allows for book reading as well as story telling, computer research, etc. . Please notice multiple arrangements of furniture supporting multiple learning modalities.

Design Model: Cycle I schoolsTypical ground floor. Please notice girls wing on one side, and boys wing on the other side. “Big boxes” like auditorium, gym and pool, are concentrated on one side to allow for maximum flexibility.
