Papworth Hospital – why move? • The current site has some good facilities but the infrastructure is old, clinical adjacencies are poor and patient privacy is an issue. • Difficulty meeting increasing demand. • The hospital is located on an isolated site with poor transport links. • Patient care, research and education.

Scope of the Project • 300 bed cardiothoracic facility on the CBC (excludes Research Institute) • Installation and commissioning of ICT network infrastructure • Supply, installation, maintenance and replacement of equipment as defined by the Equipment Responsibility Matrix (no MES) • Maintenance, repair and replacement of all primary infrastructure • Provision and operation of retail facility • Provision of a range of hard and soft FM services • Contract term – 30 years plus construction
