  1. THE PURPOSE OF THE PASTOR PT.2 1.)The Pastor is a gift. (Eph.4:8-11/Jeremiah 3:15) 2.)The Pastor is to equip the saints to do ministry (Eph.4:8-11). 3.)The Pastor is to feed the saints with knowledge (this keeps us from being destroyed) and understanding (this gives us direction) Jeremiah 3:15. 4.)The Pastor is to have God’s agenda at heart (Jeremiah 3:15).

THE PURPOSE OF THE PASTOR PT.2 2 Timothy 2:15 (VS.15) “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” KJV 5.)Paul is speaking to Timothy who is his young protégé. a.)Every Pastor ought to have a mentor. #Godly mentorships accelerate the time it takes to get things done.

THE PURPOSE OF THE PASTOR PT.2 2 Timothy 2:15 (VS.15) “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” KJV 6.)Paul commands Timothy TO STUDY! a.)Every Pastor ought to be a well studied pastor. (see Acts 6:1-4) #I cannot feed you anything I don’t know or understand myself. #The presentation of the Pastor’s message ought to be a sign that he studies.
