  6. 1. Issues with SMP/E installation • a. PTFs installed or Full installation • b. If true SMP/E is used as designed, it would not be necessary to reinstall the complete product. • c. Prior to installation it is required to edit a member to customize it to company standards. Then additional editing is required of the FMID before ACCEPTing it into SMP/E. Therefore the editing processes are required twice before applying into target zone.

  7. 1. Issues with SMP/E installation • d. SMP/E installation should know PTF Co-requisites and pre-requisites • e. Should you ”never accept PTF’s, if accepted they can not be backed • f. If identified (pre and co requisites) we should be able to backout all of them together. • g. It is required to Reject Usermods (C1DEFLTS, ect) before applying new.

  8. 2. STARCC • a. Unable to find PTF’s without solution numbers • b. Are there different search engines that we cannot access, where CA does have access? • c. Eliminate ”Garbage lines” from downloaded solutions, to make available for SMP/E installation without modifying. • d. Received solution with ”Non-GA” prerequisite

  9. 3. Webstation • a. Can’t find it on CA Web Page • b. Require the capability to review Batch output messages. (is available in 4.0) • c. Need more functionality (accepting DARs for product) • d. Usage with LSERV is very-very slow.

  10. 4. Education • a. Terri discussed how can CA make education more appealing to the users. Several Presidents agreed to be on a committee to help with educational input, such as creating an Advance Administration class

  11. 5. Guesstimate when 4.0 will be available in Beta • a. End of May, Ross Markly shared information on 4.0 from a customer’s end

  12. 6. Endevor and Harvest • a. Need a fully integrated tool to manage it all (Unix and MF) • b. Issues with integration. • c. Several companies are offering solutions

  13. 7. Support had improved in Australia, and Europe. • 8. Problems with 64 bit address, user getting S0c4 (ruled out Optimizer problems).
