  1. Daily Announcements Today is Thursday, DEC 19th, 2013 an “X” day.

  2. Missed an SOL or haven’t received your scores…..? Any student that missed an SOL retake and would like the opportunity to take it should see Mr. Tryon in the Testing Office in the Library to schedule their test. If you took a test and have not received your scores you can also see Mr. Tryon in the Library.

  3. Celebrate the Season for Children’s Hospital. For every student that wears Christmas Sweaters or Christmas Clothing on Friday, the SCA will donate 25 cents to Children’s Hospital. How cool is that! You have fun! Kids are helped!

  4. Great Job SHS! Stafford High School raised almost $750.00 to support the survivors of the Philippine disaster back before Thanksgiving. Special Thanks to Mr. Shifflet’s, 1X class for raising the most money and Mr. Lewis who agreed to don the turkey outfit. Thanks for showing how much SHS cares!

  5. You may purchase a yearbook until DEC 31st, BUT You must purchase them online. Check the yearbook on school fusion.

  6. Time Passes…will you? According to State Guidelines, in order to receive credit for a class, you must physically be in class a certain amount of time. Miss 15 times or more, (excused or unexcused) you will not receive credit for the class. If you need to make up the time, come to Saturday School. Anyone can attend but you MUST SIGN UP! See Miss Kelsey in the Main Office for more info

  8. American LegionAnnual Food Drive Seniors vs. Juniors Class that donates the most gets 5 min. early out one day in January. Sophomores vs. Freshmen Class that donates the most will not have to dress out in gym one day in January. Dec. 13th, Stafford H.S. vs. Colonial Forge H.S. School that donates the most gets Braggin’ Rights!

  9. The totals as of 1pm, DEC 18th Seniors, 219.4pounds of food Juniors, 194pounds of food Sophomores, 165pounds of food Freshman, 20.8 pounds of food

A SIMPLE PAIR OF WHITE SOCKS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE This Holiday Season there are many people without homes or families to celebrate with, lets warm up their holiday season by bringing in new white socks. Micah Ministries has asked NHS to have a sock drive. Please Bring in new white crew socks into CGS and place them under the Holiday tree"

  11. New or Gently UsedCoats, Blankets, and Gloves Drive Any of these items that are new or gently used would be greatly appreciated for the Dominic Project. Please bring them to the box outside the front office from now until December 20th .

  12. Yes, we are crying over spilt milk and juice. You MUST put empty milk and juice containers in the regular trash bins. JUICE & MILK containers may NOT be put in the recycle bin.

  14. Congratulations Ben Austin Nia Fountain Dani Ross For finishing in a tie for 1st Place in the December Virginia Math League competition. Through the first 3 competitions, Charles Kresho holds the overall school lead. Awesome!

  15. This weekend we have several students audition for All-District and All-County Band, and over half of those students were accepted into one of the two ensembles! Those students are the following:

  18. DECA for the Win! At District competition on Thursday, DECA placed either 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their competitive area. Those students that placed were: Corinne Corley Maggie Howell Trevor Smith John Shin (there’s more)

  20. Wrestling This past weekend Stafford Wrestling competed in the VAC Duals in Richmond, Va. As a team, we defeated Bayside High and Brookville High School. Individually, Rodrigo Silva, Cameron Houston, and Sebastian Silva led the team with undefeated records. Devon Bornschein helped the team out with losing only 1 match this weekend

  23. Senior Ads in the yearbook are starting.  Come by W206, Mrs. Gill's room or contact any yearbook member about purchasing an ad for the yearbook. Sales are limited so come by soon.  You will need to bring in your photos scanned on a CD or flash drive at 300 dots per inch.  The ads cost 1/4 page for$125, 1/2 page for $200, full page for $350.  Reserve your senior ad today with Mrs. Gill.
