  2. 01 EMOTIONAL TRAUMA EVEN IF YOUR PARENTS DON’T, YOUR FAMILY WILL GIVE YOU SHIT

  3. 02 SOCIAL TRAUMA YOUR FRIENDS WON’T REALLY GET IT EITHER, AND YOU BETTER FORGET DATING

  4. 03 PHYSICAL TRAUMA YOU’LL GET NO SLEEP, NO EXERCISE, AND EAT TAKE-OUT EVERY DAY

  5. 04 ANXIETY GROWTH DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN BREATHE EASIER. IT JUST MEANS YOU HAVE NEW PROBLEMS AND GREATER RISK. YOU’LL ALWAYS BE ONE PIVOT AWAY FROM CATASTROPHE

  6. 05 GUILT IF YOU SLIP UP IT MEANS UNEMPLOYMENT FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE DUG DEEP FOR YOU

  7. 06 FINANCIAL STRESS YOU’LL LIKELY BE SUBSIDIZING THE GROWING FIRM BY PAYING YOURSELF BELOW MARKET FOR MANY YEARS. YOU MIGHT EVEN GO INTO PERSONAL DEBT.

  8. 07 IDENTITY CRISIS YOU’LL LOSE THE SENSE OF WHO YOU REALLY ARE AND YOUR ETHICAL LINES WILL BE TESTED (AND YOU’LL LOSE A COUPLE OF TIMES)

  9. 08 DEEP LOSS IF YOU GO BUST, YOU’LL FEEL LIKE THE LOSS OF A CHILD. IF YOU IPO OR SELL THE FIRM, IT WILL FEEL THE SAME WAY

  10. 09 YOU MUST DO STUFF YOU LOATHE YOU’LL HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING FROM SALES TO TECH TO WRITING TO MANAGING TO JANITORIAL WORK. YOU’LL JUST HAVE TO BONE UP

  11. 10 BUT DESPITE ALL THIS… YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO STOP YOURSELF FROM DOING IT BECAUSE BEING AN ENTREPRENEUR IS SO FRACKING AWESOME!!!!!

  12. ADVICE DON’T BOTTLE IT UP. FIND SOMEONE TO TALK TO MAKE YOU TIME, EVEN IF ONLY 30 MINUTES A DAY LIMIT YOUR FINANCIAL EXPOSURE
