A Workshop on Inventory and Identification Methods for Ontario’s Reptiles and Amphibians May 17-18, 2012 Joe Crowley James Paterson Joe Crowley • Are you a conservation professional, naturalist or field biologist who: • encounters reptiles and amphibians in your work? • is unsure what to do with reptile and amphibian data? • wants to learn more about identification, behaviour and survey techniques? • Through classroom and field components you will learn: • reptile and amphibian biology, behaviour and habitats • how to identify species by sight and sound • survey techniques for snakes, skinks, turtles, frogs and salamanders Instruction by: Queen’s University (Steve Lougheed), University of Ottawa (Gabriel Blouin-Demers), Seburn Ecological Services (David Seburn), Ministry of Natural Resources (Mike Oldham, Shaun Thompson and Joe Crowley), Ontario Nature (James Paterson and John Urquhart) and the Nature Conservancy of Canada (Jennifer McCarter, Tanya Pulfer and Brenda VanSleeuwen) Venue – Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre (north of Kingston) www.elbowlakecentre.ca COST: $300/person including meals and accommodations* For More Information/REGISTER: jennifer.mccarter@natureconservancy.ca * Cost includes accommodations at Elbow Lake.
