A brief review • Scope of the projects • 28 projects at FST Weinheim • Currently we conduct about 8 projects every year • Different departments: • Production area: at the line, QS jobs • Areas close to production: logistics, construction, machine tooling • Administrative areas: accounting, purchasing, inside sales • Atypical areas: sales reps – home office • Decentralized areas: tool shop Laudenbach, warehouse Lorsch • Objective: • Blanket coverage mapping • Linking the different departments (learning from each other)

A brief review • Continuous improvement of the method • Greater emphasis on visualizing the results with photos • Before / after photos • Colleagues take the photographs on their own (more authentic) • Meetings with the colleagues on a regular basis • Scheduled: during employee group discussions • Unscheduled: mapping days 4 times a year • Improved documentation • External database for the mapping team – • status of the projects permanently visible • Colleagues are informed on updates
