  1. Prior to deployment Chad lets off some steam and enjoy the precious free time with cherished friends. (Chad with PFC Matthew Yearwood, and PFC Jorge Ramirez)

  2. Getting the barracks rooms packed up and ready for deployment was an arduous task but it had to be done.

  3. We had to make sure our equipment was ready, so we spent many days down in the basement in Germany preparing to deploy. (From Left to Right, PFC Jonathan Hewett, PFC Chase Brown, PFC David Pidcock, PFC Chad Marsh, PFC Johnathan Castro)

  4. Kuwait was a world away and the heat was unbearable, but Chad was always a professional when he needed to be one.

  5. We spent also spent many late nights getting ready serve our country.

  6. Arrival at Baghdad International Airport, the wait was unbearable, but we pushed through and continued with our mission.

  7. No matter how mundane the task, Marsh always had his smile on his face.

  10. But his heart was truly made of gold.

  11. He was always the first to find a group of kids and make them smile.

  12. His upbeat, and cheerful personality was contagious and always made the days work that much more bearable.

  13. Just another days work for Chad and Doc Hewett

  14. Chad moves into his home away from home, FOB Apache, on Christmas day.

  15. Taking an nap only leaves your guard down when others are awake and up for some mischief.

  16. Marsh looks out from the driver’s seat of his Bradley as he enters the hatch.
