L’imperativo • In Italian, here is how you form the command: -are verbs: Tu form: Positive Command: Mangia! Eat! Ascolta! Listen! Parla! Speak! Balla! Dance! **Notice that it is the lui/lei form, but in a command it means YOU!

Andare: Vai’ (vai) + ne Vanne a prendere un po’. Go and get a little bit (of it). Non andarne a prendere un po’. Don’t go there and get a little bit (of it). but: Prendere: Non prenderneuno! Don’t take one (of it). Prendineuno! Take one (of it).
