  4. Few Things to Avoid During Pregnancy! 1. Salicylic Acid: It is also called the beta hydroxy acid and is used for treating acne. As per studies, during pregnancy, it is best to stop using anything with Salicylic Acid. 2. Parabens: Parabens and preservatives such as ethylparaben, methylparaben, butylparaben, and propylparaben need to be avoided at all costs during pregnancy.

Doctors advise pregnant women to avoid using this ingredient too due to its potential harmful impacts. 4. Formaldehyde Donors:There are numerous skin care products that use the ingredient known as ‘Formaldehyde Donors.’ These preservatives prevent the growth of bacteria and yeast. Well, there are safer options that you can opt for glowing skin during pregnancy.

Try to avoid it at all costs as it contains potential toxic contaminants.

  7. 1. Don’t skip your skincare routine • There are many pregnant women who do not use anything for their skin. This is not a solution at all. • You must use a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen to ensure the proper health of your skin. You can go with organic and natural skincare products.

  8. 2. Keep yourself moisturized • During pregnancy, you must use moisturizer a lot. It must be used frequently to avoid stretch marks, minimize itchiness and soothe dry & rough skin which is common during pregnancy. • Moisturizer must be used on the entire body like elbows, nipples, and knees as these parts become dry easily.

Consult your GYN or OB before any new treatment • Before going for new skin treatments, you must make sure to consult your Obstetrician or Gynecologist. • It is advised that facial should be done on a monthly basis. Extensive heat therapy along with treatments like fillers, laser, or Botox must be avoided during pregnancy.

  10. 4. Sunscreen is important • During pregnancy, the body is more sensitive, so your skin needs adequate sunscreen. It has been` advised by most skin experts that pregnant women must not step under the sun without using ample sunscreen. • In addition to this, use protective clothing such as glasses and hats. Half a teaspoon of sunscreen with SPF30 or above can be used every 2-3 hours to protect your skin while you are out.
