WHAT AND HOW? Task:to generate a mini-move focussing on Manchester and Jeanette’s memoir Objectives:to transcode a literary text intoto a visual text. Materials:texts,videos, pictures,music, Pc sources, the Internet, teacher’s site. Text types analysed:Jeanette Winterson’s memoir, newspaper articles about Capitalism, narrative and argumentative texts about Industrialization. Methodology:individual research, group work: cooperative and collaborative learning, gathering ideas, creating a well organized product
WHY? To practice Language skills:listening, speaking, reading, writing a script, discussing, interacting, exploiting the sound level and images, to interpret a literary text and convey a specific message. Study Skills and Knowledge:use of literary code, use of figurative code, textual and structural analysis, critical interpretation of resources, critical choice of resources, spoken and written production, interaction. ICT skills: Editing, Montage, Sony_vegas9, Microsoft Word and Power Point, Internet surfing, aTube Catcher, radio system of RadioPresenza. What to do with the language Competence: • Communicating • Exchanging opinions and ideas, • Writing a script and dubbing videos
