  3. Why? • Effective design and implementation requires: • Regular evaluation – to review progress and impact studies to assess efficiency and effectiveness of programmes • Regular dialogue and review by stakeholders – progress; harmonization; coordination

Objectives • provide strategic knowledge products • facilitate better policy design and implementation • ensure successful implementation of the country’s agricultural sector investment plan • inform national dialogue and progress review • Transition to evidence and outcome based strategy planning and implementation • Growing demand for analytical capacity, high quality knowledge tools and products • Mobilize available in-country expertise and build/strengthen future capacities
