    2. Chat Rooms AOL, Microsoft Messenger, Yahoo are the major chat programs. These are free. Private or group chat possible. Paid and free personal ad sites also have chatrooms (e.g., Match.com) Need a screename (chat ID) and password to log on to chat. For paid sites, need membership Can only send “instant message” to someone who’s online (except for Yahoo chat) Sometimes (but not always) the screename will be the same as the email address (i.e., HOTSTUD101 can be someones screename on Yahoo chat AND be their email address- HOTSTUD101@yahoo.com) Can have more than 1 screename/chat ID (easy to change) Specialty chat rooms, such as M4M SF;

Mostly paid sites Can have detailed descriptions what specifically want in partner Post detailed descriptions about oneself Some have pictures attached to personal ads Email addresses usually blinded (not the actual email address) Pros (escorts, massage) advertise on the Internet Can meet up with people in a matter of minutes
