Introduction A whale shark is the 1st largest fish in the sea . If the wale shark was to be brought on land, it could a as big as a bus or 5.5 to 10 meters tall. The largest whale shark ever to be measured was 40 feet (12.2 meters) long; however, the species is thought to grow even bigger. A diagram showing how big is a whale shark.
Description • The whale shark has a flat head and many white spots on it whole body. It has a mouth that can open to about 2 meters.Its mouth also contains 10 filter pads and it has between 300 and 350 rows of tiny teeth.Ithas five large pairs of gills. Two small eyes are located towards the front of the shark's wide and flat head
Habitat • These whale sharks prefer warm waters so they populate around tropical seas.
Diet • It feeds on macro-algae, plankton, krill, Christmas Island red crab larvae,[13] and small nektonic life such as small squid or vertebrates. These are two types of food the whale sharks eat.
Conclusion • This fish is vulnerable as many are not seen in the wild. I would like to conserve this animal as it is magnificent. We could but up poster to raise public awareness about this animal. This large whale shark was harvested from waters off China.
