Knightly vocabulary • Squire– noun - a young man of noble birth who served a knight while training to become a knight • Chivalry– noun - the sum of the ideal qualifications of a knight, including courtesy, generosity, valor, and dexterity in arms. • Baron– noun - a member of the lowest level of nobility • Page– noun - a youth in attendance on a person of rank or, in medieval times, a youth being trained for knighthood • Parapet– noun - a defensive wall or elevation, as of earth or stone, in a fortification • Troubadour– noun - a musician, singer, or poet • Feudal Times – adjective - pertaining to the Middle Ages
