  3. I’ve been given free stuff before. (T-S) That’s okay… I’ve been given a meal for free before (but unlike the pig, I didn’t ask for it). I was surprised when they offered to pay. It made me very grateful to people for their kindness. (T-S) That’s better… Add: I wonder if the pig said thank you and if he felt grateful, too? (T-S)Best! Third pig asks for bricks and the man GIVES him some bricks.

Today Pick your BEST connection (most meaningful, most detailed) and ILLUSTRATE it.  • On one side, write the TITLE of your book and DRAW the scene. • On the other side, label the TYPE of connection you made and DRAW it. • WRITE OUT your connection below. • Be sure to include your NAME. If you finish early, please read quietly. We will share them at the end. I will be coming around and checking your journals during this time.

I’ve been given a meal for free before (but unlike the pig, I didn’t ask for it). I was surprised when they offered to pay. It made me feel very grateful to those people for their kindness.
