St. Simon’s RC Primary School, Ashford, Kent Consultation Plan for SEN Policy SENCO to draft SEN policy using KCC guidelines as template by 20th October 2014 Present consultation plan to GB Curriculum Committee 9th October 2014 Draft Policy presented to Governing Body for consultation from 21st October 2014. (Discussion at Curriculum Committee 20th November 2014) Working part of parent representatives to be gained through Parent Forum. Draft Policy published on website for full consultation with all parents from 20th October. All Parents informed through newsletter and short questionnaire sent home with key questions. (Is the policy understood clearly by all? ) . Draft Policy emailed out to all staff seeking views. Opportunity to give views electronically. Draft Policy discussed at Parent Forum meeting for feedback with SLT. All consultations and feedback to be back to SENCO by 28th November. Amendments made. Put on website for final consultation between 8th – 12thDecember. Final document to be published on school website by 19th December 2014
