  3. History of Acrylic Paints • In the 1930’s Mexican Muralists needed a paint that could endure outdoors • Acrylic paint became widely available in the 1950’s

  4. You can paint over the top with another color. • A dark color over a light one will cover the light one completely. • You can eventually cover a dark color with a light color.

  5. Thick paint can create texture. • Thin paint can be used like watercolors.
