A cover-open warning message will be triggered which will leave a user to unable to shut down the printer without disconnecting it from electrical power. If the switch is replaced or lever is adjusted then the problem can be cured. If a user wants to avoid occurring again then instead of slamming cover closed to handle the printer gently
