  1. How to Pay Fitrah Online Easily? Islam is a religion full of blessings. Its real beauty shines in the equality system. That means no one is superior to others, and rich people shouldn’t be arrogant for what they have. For that reason, Muslims are obliged to help their poor Muslim brothers on the beautiful occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. And this help has the name “Fitrah” (financial help). It is one of the must-do practices. As a Muslim, you’ve to pay Fitrah during the holy month of Ramadan. To do that, you should look for deserving people in your social circle. Also, you can pay Fitrah online to help the people of other cities or countries. In this article, we’ll look at how you can pay online with ease. Along with that, we’ll discuss the importance of Fitrah. Finally, we’ll be shedding light on who should pay and what the right time to pay is. What is the importance of Fitrah? Fitrah has many other names such as Fitrana, zakat al-Fitr, fidyah, and Sadaqatul-Fitr. It is a powerful concept in Islam that’s like an inner compass guiding you to do what's right. Here's why it's so important: •It makes you down to earth You may have seen that many people don’t give value or respect to the poor ones around them. That’s just because they’re wealthy and brag about that. Having more money pollutes their hearts. In that aspect, Islam says to give money to poor people as this practice will purify your hearts. This way, you will have no earthly desires, and this will make you humble and down to earth.

  2. •It creates a strong connection with Allah (God) Doing what Allah orders makes your life colorful. Giving Fitrana is also one of those orders. It wipes out the worries from your life, and you start feeling happy. And when Allah loves someone, their life has no troubles. This shows that helping the poor in the form of Fitrana keeps you away from difficulties because you have created a strong connection with Allah. In other words, when you fulfill religious obligations, you please Allah, and this creates a strong connection with him. •It purifies your fast Fasting isn’t just about avoiding food and drink; it's also about being good and avoiding bad stuff, like being mean or doing things we shouldn't. Giving Fitrana helps clean up any slip-ups we might have had during Ramadan. This makes our fasting even better. •It creates solidarity and brotherhood The best society is the one where everyone thinks about others, too. When we financially support the deserving people, we create solidarity or brotherhood in actuality. With that help, the poor also enjoy the Eid day like others without being worried. This way, people don’t just understand but also feel what others are going through. As a result, a good society comes into existence. How can you pay Fitrah online? Here is a series of steps to guide you about giving Fitrana online: •Find a Reliable Platform In this age of the internet, many platforms have appeared to receive your Fitrana. They further share your support with the people who need it. But, because the online market is flooded with such platforms, finding a reliable one is important. A trustworthy platform will have: •Registration Status •Positive reputation •Clear information about their mission, projects, and financial accountability So, you must consider these factors to determine the reliability of the platform. •Calculate the Amount The amount of Fitrah varies according to location. For example, the U.K. would have a different Fitrana amount than Saudi Arabia or Pakistan.

  3. The amount is calculated based on the specific quantity of the staple foods. Every year, it fluctuates. Take an example: the amount will be equal to 2Kg wheat, 4Kg Barley, 4kg Date, and 4kg Raisins. Hence, you will pay to equate to one of these foods. But still, if you’re on the fence about determining the right amount, you can consult with your local mosque or religious authority for guidance. •Make the Payment Once you've verified the details and calculated the amount, you’re all set to pay Fitrah online. The platforms provide different payment options. They can be credit/debit card payments, bank transfers, or digital wallets. For example, seven spikes gives the bank account details such as name, account number, and sort code. They also show BIC and IBAN to collect your Fitrana, no matter where you’re from the world. Select any of the options that suit you best. •Keep records In some places, you don’t have to pay taxes for charitable donations, including Fitrah payments. By keeping records of your donations, you have proof of your charitable giving. This can be useful when filing your taxes to potentially receive deductions. Who should pay Fitrana? You might be wondering who is obliged to pay Fitrah online. So, the following individuals should pay: •Those who are Muslims. •Those who have enough wealth or food for themselves and their whole family (if it's enough for Ramadan and the eve of Eid al-Fitr). •Even for a baby who is born between Ramadan and Shawwal. What’s the right time to give Zakat al-Fitr? Let’s discuss it in the light of Hadith: Ibn `Abbas (R.A) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) ordained Zakat ul Fitr [Fitrana] to purify the fasting person from indecent words or actions and to provide food for the needy. It is accepted as Zakat for the person who gives it before the Eid prayer, but it is a mere Sadaqah for the one who gives it after the prayer.” (From: Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah) That means we should pay Fitrah online before the 1st of Shawwal or Eid al-Fitr. However, scholars say that the best time is the last Ashra (the last 10 days of Ramadan). This way, poor people could purchase their essentials easily.

  4. Final Words In conclusion, Fitrana is due on every Muslim who has enough wealth to feed themselves and their families. Paying it gives various benefits, such as purifying the fasts, making you humble, creating a strong connection with Allah, and creating brotherhood. You can pay Fitrah online and in person. For that, you can choose a reliable platform, calculate the amount, make payments, and keep records. But remember, it must be paid before Eid al-Fitr because, after that, it will be considered a mere Sadaqah.
