Who Are We? • Located in Williamsburg, Virginia where American history began • Founded in 1693 – 2nd oldest university in the U.S. • Ranked the 6th in the nation among all public universities (U.S. News & World Report, Forbes) • One of the eight “Public Ivy Leagues” • One of the best, if not the best, library arts colleges in the U.S. • Highest admission standards of all the U.S. public universities • Considered the school that takes education most seriously • Ranked the 3rd in best teaching of all the universities in the US at one time
