When am I ever going to use this? • Example • Knowing the order of operations will help you find the total cost of adults’ and children’s admissions to the zoo.
Memorize Rules • Number 1 - Do all operations within group symbols first. • This includes parenthesis and brackets.
Memorize Rules • Number 2 - Work all problems that have exponents. Begin from Left to Right.
Memorize Rules • Number 3 - Multiply or Divide (which ever comes first from Left to Right).
Memorize Rules • Number 4 - Add or Subtract (which ever comes first from Left to Right).
