  1. Let’s look at some interesting facts about Puerto Rico

  2. Land and Population Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory located off of the coast Of the Dominican Republic, just south east of Florida. Here in the photo to the right, is a historical piece from when the USA took possession of Puerto Rico in Guanica. • Honduras

  3. Land and Population It was also discovered by Christopher Columbus! Puerto Rico is equivalent to the size of the U.S. state Connecticut, measuring about 100 miles long and 35 miles wide.

  4. Land and Population Puerto Rico has 270 miles worth of beaches!

  5. Puerto Rico’s Flag Each part of this flag has its own meaning. The three red stripes represent the blood from the brave warriors. The two white stripes represent the victory and peace that they would have after gaining independence. The white star represented the island of Puerto Rico. The blue represents the sky and blue coastal waters.

El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the US National Forest System! Puerto Rico has an island that is unspoiled by man with natural beauty, that is overran by a colony of iguanas! There are 5 Miss Universe winners from Puerto Rico! Puerto Rico has the world’s largest telescope! Volleyball is VERY popular! Here you drive on the right side of the road, as you do in the states, however,the road signs are in Spanish and gas is measured in liters. A coral reef cliff better known as La Pared or “the wall” lets divers make friends with manatees and explore beautiful crystal waters.
