Membership • 3.5 cumulative gpa • Must be maintained-drop below and you are on probation for one semester • Dismissed from NHS if not brought back up to 3.5 next semester • 8 merits per semester must be earned • Failure to earn merits could result in probation for semester until they are earned

  3. Why merits? • This is where you continue to demonstrate your leadership and service to others • It is also part of character development and something you should want to do • What do you do to earn merits? • 3 for outside activities (job, clubs, sports) are turned in on a form, signed by sponsor/coach • Service & support of school activities • You can suggest activities for merits!

  4. Merit Tracker • ID number is unique to you (you will receive it in fall with paid dues) • When you earn merits, the chair of the event turns in a list to 2nd VP • Once a week or every other week all members receive email with report • You must keep up with your own merits • Email the chair or Mrs. Hannahs for errors or problems

Inductions-May 16 at 7 pm • Families are welcomed • Inductees must be in lobby at 6:15 pm • Line up by number you are given today • Dress up like you are going to a church service, game day or job interview: dress, skirt or dressy slacks for girls; collared shirt and long pants for boys, tie optional
