  1. Accessing SMIRF Please go to: https://www.mwr.army.mil/Select your CAC email to log in.

  2. Choose MIS Applications if you see a folder

  3. Click SMIRF icon

  4. Click OK then use your CAC Pin to enter

  5. Click Reports. Notice all the fields to run reports. You have “Reports, Queries, Extracts, Tables, and Utilities.”

  6. Notice the number of reports you can choose to run. We’re using BUDGET vs. ACTUAL Report for this demonstration but you can use the same process to run the other reports listed.

  7. Select BUDGET vs. ACTUAL Report (NAFISS)

  8. In Menu fields below. Select the fiscal year you would like to filter report period by then select fiscal period. You can run monthly or quarterly reports.

  9. For this demonstration we are using FY18, QTR 1 (first Quarter) reports BUDGET vs. ACTUAL for Aberdeen Providing Ground. If you do not know installation code, you can search for a garrison, just select the Garrison radio button then hit drown down field arrow in correlating field area. All garrisons will be listed in drop down. Double click to select. Once you have selected and completed all filters, CLICK START to run report.

  10. Click YES to “Do You Want to Run the Report?”

  11. Click START to print or Select Export to Save. This concludes running a Budget vs Actual report in SMIRF!

  12. See report listed below. This concludes running a Budget vs.Actual report in SMIRF!
