  2. What are Dental Braces? Braces are devices used in orthodontics that align and straighten teeth. Braces are also commonly referred to as orthodontic braces and dental braces.

  3. What are Dental Braces? Braces help to position teeth with regard to a person's bite, while also working to improve dental health.

  4. What are Dental Braces? Braces straighten teeth by putting steady pressure on your teeth, while staying in place for a certain a mount of time. (About 24 months).

  5. Basic Components Braces? 1. The Arch Wire is a thin metal wire that runs from bracket to bracket putting pressure on your teeth.

  6. Basic ComponentsBraces? 2. Ligatures. Withtraditional braces, the brackets need a way to stayconnected. Ligatures (as shown here) are used to “tie” each bracket to the archwire.
