Entrepreneurship Education is Important - Economic why? • According to the SBA there were 27.2 million businesses in the US • The number of nonemployer firms has risen steadily • 21.1 million in 2007 (estimated) • Majority of new jobs are created by entrepreneurs and small businesses • Small Businesses created 979,102 net new jobs, or 78.9 percent of net new jobs • Entrepreneurship accounts for at least 2/3 of all technological innovation
