  5. Read the following story Ana is a bright girl! Ana always impresses me with her intelligence. Ana is not only nice, but sweet. To only be five years old, Ana has the makings of a good leader. It sounds crazy to keep repeating Ana’s name. After saying her name the first time we can replace her name with the subject pronounSHE.

  6. Subject Pronouns in Spanish are: Yo

  7. If the person is younger, or you know him/her well, be informal - Tú If he/she is older, or unfamiliar be Formal - Usted (Ud.) The same applies to a male –Tú/Ud.

  8.  He = Él She = Ella 

  9. Nosotros, or Nosotras if there are only females present.

  10. Vosotros, or Vosotras if informal in Spain • Ustedes (Uds.) if formal in Spain, or it can Be both formal and informal outside of Spain.

  11. Ellos, or Ellas if there are only girls present

  12. Practica Replace the following people with the appropriate subject pronoun. él 1. Javier - ella 2. La señora Johnson - Nosotros/nosotras if only females 3. María y yo – 4. Juan y tú - vosotros (in Spain), ustedes (Uds.)
