When questions are assigned... • New questions are assigned each week on Monday (Sometimes I may give them to you earlier). • We will usually have 10 questions each week. • The questions are due on Friday of the same week.
How to Find the Answers.... There are three ways to find the answers to the questions: • Go online to search for the answer. • Look in your textbook. If there is a part of your text book that will help you answer the questions, the page number will be after the question. • Listen during classroom notes. We go over EVERY question during note taking time or labs, so all answers will be somewhere in your lab journal.
How to Create the Cards... Your initials and number Color code the card with a colored line in this location according to the branch of science it belongs to. If in doubt, ask Ms. Warren. 1. Write the question here. Punctuation and spelling counts. 2. Write the answer here in complete sentences. Use details. • Draw a picture here that refers to your answer. Label the picture if needed and it must be colored.
Due Dates • Completed question index cards are due on the Friday AFTER they were assigned. • Students not completing the cards will be expected to stay in the workroom until they are completed. • 10 points will be deducted for each day the cards are not completed.
Quizzes/Tests We will have a quiz anytime during the week over what we have already covered in class. Every Friday, there will be a test over the questions given that week. The test may be a paper/pencil quiz or a CPS quiz. If you are not aware of what a CPS quiz is, ask your child. If you still have questions, please email me at: dwarren@nisdtx.org.
Thank you!!! I appreciate your help in assisting your child in becoming responsible students. Raising a child and educating them is team work. I am very excited about being on that team with you! Have a wonderful week!
