  2. Interested in winning premium Nike prizes? All you need to do is be creative and create a newsletter for Nike Finland! You can create any visual design that you like. However, concerning the content there are some points to be considered.

  3. What to do? Make sure you have read the competition page of Metropolia Business School. Read the entry requirements and newsletter requirements. Create a design. Generate and implement the contents. Specify the internet address of your newsletter page and send it via the application form on Metropolia Business School’s Competition page. If you need a last thought-provoking impulse, you can have a look at some example newsletters by registering at www.nikeplus.com. Be innovative, be active, be a winner!!!

  4. Entry Requirements • The competition is open only to full or part time students residing in Finland. (students can be high school to university level) • A contestant or contestants (3 persons max) can enter the competition three times maximum. • A valid E-mail address and phone number are required in order to contact the winning contestant. If a valid E-mail address or phone number is not provided, the winning contestant will forfeit the prize. • Contestants who are found to deliberately copy already published newsletters or articles run the possibility of having their entry disregarded. • Contestants are allowed to use the Nike logo and Nike material rights such as photography only for this competition. (see Nike typography)

  5. Newsletter Requirements • The preference is for the newsletter to be created similarly to a HTML page. However, PDF newsletter will also be acceptable. • Online newsletter software or trial newsletter sites, such as www.graphicmail.com, http://www.enewslettersonline.com and http://www.commarketing.com are acceptable to use. • The newsletter must follow the legal requirements of an online Newsletter which requires unsubscribe information. (see Nike example and standard footer requirements) • The content of the newsletter can be in Finnish or English. • Contestants are advised to sign up to Nike newsletter to receive Newsletter examples at www.Nikeplus.com (this is only an advice and can be ignored). • The Nike Logo and material rights such as photography can be used.* subject to terms & conditions www. .com

  6. Nike Newsletter Design The first step would be a basic design for your newsletter. What’s typical for Nike? What could catch the eye of the reader? What gives a professional and open minded view of the company? A sample Nike newsletter is available to view.

  7. Nike Newsletter Content • Story of the season • Retail connection • Think of 2 different consumer groups: Active runners who just started running or who are not those regular runners (more focused on looking good, maybe run 1-2 times a week and do other sports, too). The second group consists of core runners who run marathons and are interested in technical shoes etc. • Enable 2 way communications. ↔

  8. Nike Newsletter Content • Tell local stories and events, invitations etc. • Reward active Nike+ users. • Drive traffic to Nikeplus.com and get more registered people. • Increase Nike running newsletter base. • Include news about Nike+ Local Runs (human race press release).

  9. Application Fill out the ”Entry Form for Metropolia & Nike Competition” and attach the newsletter to thatapplication form before the closing date of the competition 11.01.2010. Alternatively you maypaste a link to your Nike newsletter in that application form.
