New HSC-Machine in PLATIT Test Center In cooperation with the company Fehlmann AG (Lenzburg) we installed a brand new HSC (High Speed Cutting) machine in our test center in Grenchen. • The main goals with the new HSC testing machine: • Support of our costumers at development of dedicated coatings for HSC tools • Support of our R&D at development of new coating for HSC- • drilling • tapping • milling • reaming etc. • Promt test of coated tools during costumer training and acceptance. • The main features of the new HSC test machine: • 50 - 20‘000 RPM, with 8.4 KW (60%ED) • feed: up to 20 m/min with 1g • external and internal coolant with 40 bars • internal and external minimum lubrication • rigid tapping • automatic pick up changer for 24 tools • spline support for 3D production of mold and dies
