Some other news, I interviewed Nick Loper today, from the Side Hustle Nation.com – We talked about boosting your business profile, how to grow your business and if you want to ditch your 9-5 JOB and make your side hustle into a full time hustle. Nick is going to be on John Lee Dumas’s show, Entrepreneur on Fire, May 11, so I will release today’s interview about that same time. Meanwhile, check out Nick and his podcast at SideHustleNation.com
Last Episode of the Waterless Pro Zone, we talked to Steve Wolshin “aka Duke” from the beautiful island of Kauai and this episode we are talking to Rick Horvath from Toledo, Ohio. Rick is a long time waterless car wash enthusiasts and fellow auto detailer and car cleaning business owner. I am looking forward to presenting you his interview in just a moment. Today’s short list of Marketing Tactics, Tech Tools, Books and Podcasts that I recommend taking a look at. Reading books and listening to stories about successful people is powerful and using the latest marketing tools and tactics in your business can really help as well. All of this can help you become more successful in your business and everything else you do.
Now on to our first topic: 1. Marketing Tactic: Demonstrations – Do you want to get people to buy your products or service? Do demonstrations. Perhaps you have heard me rant about the 4 steps of selling waterless car wash products. DEMO, DEMO, DEMO and refer back to steps 1,2 & 3. Get out there, demo to everyone that will allow you to. If you have a service business, demo your service too. Show people on their fender, but ask them first. Spray on, rub in and wipe off! Leave the fender and one spot on the window clean. Let them know where to get the rest of it cleaned and detailed by giving them your card. Maybe the card has a discount on it. – The point is to meet people and give them a demonstration. At the park, at the beach, at the shop or in your garage. Don’t be a psycho about it, just but be professional, be brief and ask for the sale afterwards.
2. The Book of the week – Platform – Michael Hyatt from MichaelHyatt.com Michael has a great website and awesome podcast, but his book is all about building your platform. You see, in the real old days, if you wanted to tell people something important, you stood on something tall and solid and told people about it. Today, you use technology to get your point across. What platform are you using? Facebook, YouTube, Instagram? In the book, Michael goes over each platform in detail and covers why it is important to build yours, and the rules behind each. Head on over to WaterlessPro.com/audio to find the link to this book. Thanks

3. Technology – Linkedin – Linkedin is a business-centered social media platform. If you are in business, you need a Linkedin Account. You can network with people from around the world, in different professions and even different languages. People have all kinds of different interests levels and skills. Linkedin brings all of this together on one platform, but it is based around business and professional interests. Be sure to build yourself a linked in professional page to feature your business too. Good luck.
4. Podcast of the week. Since we have already talked about Michael Hyatt, let’s showcase his podcast. A double whammy for Michael. He a very wise man and someone to truly respect. His podcast hits home in many ways. When he speaks to you from the podcast, it is like he is talking to you.
