For years, I struggled with this overwhelming darkness, feeling trapped and hopeless. But my story took a turn when I decided to seek help from a psychiatrist in India. Today, I want to share my journey of overcoming depression, shedding light on the importance of professional support and the resources available in India for mental health care. Understanding Depression: Depression is more than just feeling sad; it's a complex mental health disorder that affects millions worldwide. It can manifest in various ways, such as persistent sadness, loss of interest in activities, changes in appetite or sleep patterns, and difficulty concentrating. For me, depression was like a heavy fog that clouded my thoughts and drained my energy, making even the simplest tasks seem daunting.
