Explain; give examples. • Why did the chicken cross the basketball court? • Battology – Excessive repetition in speech or writing Goals – Practice for debate. If you have completed your debate try to do your works cited page. Go to my web page and use the link to OWL Purdue. Homework - Don’t forget to study Vocabulary # 10 for quiz Friday. Practice for debate tomorrow. Time yourself saying it aloud

Goals – Complete debate. Complete Works cited page for turn in tomorrow. Homework – Complete Works Cited page for turn in tomorrow. Also turn in notes pages and articles tomorrow.

Are you mostly self- reliant? • Why did the lollipop cross the road? • Adoxography – writing cleverly on a trivial subject. Goals – Be certain to turn in Works cited, articles, and notes pages to me today. Homework - none.

Goals – Examine your own sense of right and wrong. Discuss ways in that can lead to difficulty. Discuss Cool Hand Luke and self-reliance.
