EPRI Load Shape Library Interest Group Workshop • DNV KEMA attended workshop held May 1-2, 2012 – Dallas, TX • Purpose: 2012 Load Research Objectives & Deliverables • “Load Shape Library” Develop a framework for creating a load shape repository with secure web access to member funders. To include aggregate primary data by sector and end-use. Source of data to be determined by user group • Establish a “Load Data Users Group” comprising of member funders and interested utilities to advise on repository structure and data-related topics • Deliverables: A member-accessible, preliminary load shape software in addition to a summary report detailing the status of the “Load Shape Library” at the end of the year • Whole premise and end use (populated with existing CEED first) • Interested in investigating alternatives to metering to keep costs down – NIALMs, CDA • Very interested in the RTF project – happy to be connected
Stakeholder Webinars - Completed • Purpose: Brainstorm with stakeholders about the specific information that will be necessary to develop the business case • Series of Webinars: • Webinar #1 - April 25, 2012 • Webinar #1.5 – May 4, 2012 (Repeat of Webinar #1) • Webinar #2 – May 10, 2012 • Follow up to ensure proper interpretation, and • Gather additional information • About 40 participants • PowerPoint summarizing feedback, plus additional meeting notes • Feedback develops the beginning of the framework for the case

Next Step – Data Collection from Stakeholders • Stakeholder priorities • Stakeholders asked for chance to prioritize end uses • Also include data granularity requirements and measurement needs • Very short survey to a wide audience (will be sent to all contacts on original list)

Project Timeline • May 30: Feedback from RTF/Subcommittee on interview questions due to DNV KEMA • June 4: Interviews begin • June 22: Interviews completed • June 29: Summary of findings from interviews due to RTF • July 27: Draft business case due to RTF
