What’s happening with home testing? • Regulation removed from April 1st • No kits currently licensed • Licensing currently migrating from UK to EU • EU currently reassessing licensing of all in vitro diagnostic devices – may take many months • Licensing expected to require higher efficacy than US and inclusion of support info/contacts

  3. Respondents who had never had an HIV Test (n=106)

  4. HIV- MSM (n=295)

  5. At Risk People who have not tested for longer than 1 Year (n=86)

  6. People Living with HIV (n=66)

  7. How will this work out in UK? • Need to still warn people re unlicensed kits • Several months more to educate on use • Questions: • What will it cost? • Will they be available on NHS? • Who will use them? • How will they be used? • What further research should we prioritise?
