Peninnah had children, but Hannah did not. 1:6 So Peninnah would taunt Hannah and make fun of her because the Lord had kept her from having children. 1:7 Hannah would be reduced to tears and would not even eat!

He will be yours for his entire lifetime, and as a sign that he has been dedicated to the Lord, his hair will never be cut.”

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.1 Peter 5:6-7

Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

"No, my sons; for the report is not good which I hear the Lord's people circulating. 1 Samuel 2:24 (NASB) Proverbs 13:24 If you refuse to discipline your children, it proves you don’t love them; if you love your children, you will be prompt to discipline them.

(and gives God too little honor) 2:27-29 One day a man of God came to Eli and gave him this message from the Lord: “…Why do you give your sons more honor than you give me?”

All the members of your family will die before their time. None will reach old age. 2:34 And to prove that what I have said will come true, I will cause your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, to die on the same day!

The Lord continued to appear at Shiloh and gave messages to Samuel there at the Tabernacle.
