  2. SUMMARY • Yeomen is traveling with a knight, that is his job. • He has many weapons to protect the knight and his land. • He is dressed in all green, that is his uniform. • He is very neat, he uses a St. Christopher medal for protection on his breast.

  3. Job • A Yeomen is a servant to the knight. He is used for protection and as a companion on their journeys.

  4. Physical Appearence • Wears all green • Has many swords, daggers, and arrows • Short hair • And a very dirty face • Works outside

  5. Personality Traits Strengths Weaknesses Hard worker Organized, no droopy feathers Keeps his bow and arrows in very good condition He knew the land from being outside so much His head was like a nut

Key Lines • There was a Yeomen with him at his side, no other servant; so he chose to ride. • This Yeomen wore a coat and hood of green and peacock feathered arrows bright and keen. • A medal of St. Christopher he wore of shinning silver on his breast he bore. • He knew the whole of woodcraft up and down.

  7. Chaucer’s attitude • Chaucer sounds like he respects him, he is the only servant chosen to go on this journey with the knight. He is very clean and did not show many weaknesses. Also he wore a medal, which could be a sign of honor.

  8. Reason for the journey • The Yeomen goes on the journey to be their for the knight, whether he need protection or a servant he needed someone to travel with him. He also knew much of the land so that was to the knights advantage.

  9. Vocabulary • Brace- bracelet • dirk- Dagger • baldric- Belt worn over one shoulder and across the chest to support a sword.
