WG on the recognition of medicalgeneticslaboratory supervisor • Recognitioncommittee(=BeSHG WG) • - 6 memberselectedbyBelmolgen (2), BCH-HO (2), ConstCytogen (2) • Evaluateapplications • issue certificate • Certification criteria: • PhD • 4 year program • General theoreticalrequirements • theorygeneticaspects (BeSHGcourse) • qualityaspects • biosafety • molecular track/cytogenetic track • practical experienceforboth tracks (varioustechniques) • supervision of defined minimal number of tests forvarioustechniques • retrospectivecertfificationfor “established” supervisors (within 6 months) • Certificatevalidity • for 5 years • permanent education • prolongation criteria
