Mission Statement Launch a reusable rocket a mile high above ground level collecting data of altitude, velocity, acceleration, time, and real-time data of electromagnetic radiation in the range of 200 to 700nm so as to determine if there is an appreciable increase in UV intensity.

Payload Parts UV Fastcheck Strips R-DAS and GPS UNIT Wireless Transmitter Camera • Display Ultraviolet readings. • Retain readings • Are a quick and accurate way to evaluate levels of UV radiation. • Will be the means by which the data will be sent via a live feed • Runs at 900Mhz • Has a range of 2 miles • This product requires a Technician's class or higher Amateur Radio License to operate. • These work together to provide data on location, acceleration, velocity, altitude, and will also deploy the charges for both the drogue and main parachutes • Used to capture a visual of the UV strips • Will provide live feed that will later be evaluated
Payload and Vehicle Integration Payload body tube • There is a 12” payload tube built into the rocket so that the payload bay can easily fit into the tube. • The dimensions of the payload body tube are 12” x 3.1”. • The dimensions of the payload bay are 7.5” x 3” when empty and 9” x 3” when fully loaded. • Installing and removing the payload bay is very simple, yet the tight fit ensures that there will be no damage in flight. • Integration of the UV Fastcheck Strips is very simple just apply adhesive and stick on. • The only complications that have occurred are in the necessity of cutting holes into the Vehicle to allow visual of the strips, but these complications are taken care of with the aid of planning and teamwork.
