Integration of Virtual Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering Tools for Detail Design Presented by Akshay Kande, Systems Engineering Master’s Student, Missouri S&T Thursday, September 30, 2010 Location: Boeing Building 111, Room 110A Networking/Lunch: 11:00 a.m. Presentation: 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Abstract: The presentation will discuss a methodology for integrating models developed using systems modeling language with virtual engineering software to create an executable, interactive and user centered platform for engineering systems. The benefits offered by combining both model based systems engineering and virtual engineering will be illustrated using a Bio-Fermentor model. Biography: Akshay Kande is a systems engineering master’s student at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Akshay also works as a Graduate Researcher in the field of complex system design using model based and virtual engineering technologies at the Missouri S&T smart engineering systems laboratory. He is President of the INCOSE Missouri S&T student chapter. Prior to joining the Master’s program, Akshay worked as a Design Engineer for steel plant projects at Mukand Industries Limited, India.
